Qiu Guangping
Qiu Guangping combines the passion of romanticism, absurdness of super realism and experience of life with the re-explanation of Chinese traditional culture. The horses neigh to the sky, distorted and piled, are representation of power and accumulation of quantities. A single horse, fully conveying heroic pathos, is loaded with unlimited imagination of following generations; Fantastic creatures wander around the world, like roamers happen to rush into the real world.
Evidently, Qiu Guangping is a sensitive, red blooded and intelligent artist. His pictures are filled with striking imagination as well the strong spiritual evocation behind that can be considered as the wild and crude power in modern art.
