Ye Qiang
Ye Qiang’s artworks are full of intelligence. The narrative language and logic in the picture seem to have no connection with each other by first sight. Yet these two clues rightly reflect the consecutive enquiries for social culture problems. Adoption of Chinese and western traditional culture, solid base of image study, and recombination of critical colors, all of them not only bring the ironical humor but also the culture discipline during recognition.
Ye Qiang’s pictures are touching .What they represent has changed from romantic imagination to intellects’ suffering feelings. And the flames are not only burning among mountains and waters in the picture, burning in the smoky society but also igniting many unruly souls longing for freedom.
